Instrumentation Engineers Ltd. (IEL) is the Emerson Local Business Partner for Bangladesh. Headquartered in USA, Emerson is a multinational corporation and a Fortune 500 company that manufactures products and provides engineering services for a wide range of industrial and commercial markets.
We are looking for a candidate who will proactively generate business inquiries, establish and maintain good relationships with customers by helping them achieve engineering excellence in the process industry. The candidate is also expected to contribute to company sales targets by meeting or exceeding assigned territorial goals and expanding the customer base.
Reviews RFQ specifications & documents, clarifies technical queries with customers
Use various software and business systems to assist customers with product requests ensuring the appropriate product selection, sizing, and specifications are met based on the intended application and determine the best cost solutions to increase win rate
Coordinates with application experts in other world areas as necessary for special applications and operations / factories
Produce quotations, bid proposals, document packages and provides timely and accurate quotation and technical solution to customer/ sales engineer
Provide full technical clarity and technical deviations summary to customer and sales engineer, validates customer testing and other quality requirements
Maintain strong relationship with commercial team and sales team to ensure timely response to customer
Create awareness to customers/sales team the benefits of our offerings
Participation in tender preparation both technical and commercial
Provide proactive and regular quote follow-up
Review and negotiate the technical part of customer purchase orders and relevant document
Coordinates with commercial team and sales engineer to verify technical & commercial aspects against quotation and highlight any discrepancies needed
Coordinate with commercial and sales team before placing the order on vendor
Prepare and process the order using various tools for vendor
Coordinate with vendors factory, order processing team application team to process the order on time
Provides technical support and coordinate with commercial team when needed for change orders to factories
Generates and submit all the monthly, weekly reports timely
Support and conduct customer & internal training
Monitor and maintain awareness of product line modifications and technical specifications
Organize, maintain and store all the data and files (hard copy and soft copy)
Visit customer when necessary
Support customers, sales engineer, service engineer with maintenance and servicing of existing products, proposing replacements or adjustments when needed for timely resolution of customer complaints
Build and maintain strong internal working relationships within the company and our principals, recognizing individual’s unique skill sets and contributions
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
02 years of experience in the automation/industrial sector will be preferred; freshers are also encouraged to apply
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Being a self-motivated, results-driven salesperson
Project management skills
Knowledge of valves, regulators, flow meters, and similar field instruments is an advantage

Position is based in Mohakhali DOHS, Dhaka. However, extensive local and international traveling will be required.
