We are looking for a candidate who will proactively generate business inquiries, and establish and maintain good relationships with customers by helping them achieve engineering excellence in the process industry. The incumbent is also expected to contribute to company sales targets by meeting or exceeding assigned territorial goals and expanding the customer base.
Actively visit customers to promote the assigned product lines, entire product portfolio and services
Prepare technical and commercial proposals based on customer requirements
Meet monthly, quarterly & annual sales targets
Plan and participate in customer development activities such as trade shows, fairs, and conferences aiming to promote the sale of products and services in the region
Develop and maintain project sales funnel and report the potential opportunities on a monthly basis
Negotiate business contracts within the agreed Delegation of Authority – including discount and volume structures
Prepare sales plans, review periodically, and work closely with the team to design a recovery plan in case of shortfalls
Identify new businesses and key opportunities to grow and extend business
Inform customers of new products and services, version upgrades, and services renewals
Refer complaints to proper department of the company
Check on competitive activity
Complete basic sales training covering the company’s products, services, and policies
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering. Additional MBA degree will be preferred
Minimum 02 years of experience, preferably in field sales for the automation/industrial sector.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Being a self-motivated, results-driven salesperson
Project management skills
Knowledge of valves, regulators, flow meters, and similar products is an advantage
